The Canada-Europe Partnership Forum will take place on Sunday, November 3, 2024, the day before the CBIE2024 Annual Conference as a kick-off event for the 3-day conference. The Canada-Europe Partnership Forum is organized with the support of the Government of Canada through Global Affairs Canada and will bring together senior-level stakeholders from across the Canadian and European international education, policy, and government ecosystems to share their expertise and insights regarding the strategic imperative and opportunities for deepening Canada-Europe partnerships in higher education, particularly against the backdrop of Canada’s recent association to Horizon Europe and long-standing presence in Erasmus+. Participation bursaries for select delegates are provided with the support of the Government of Canada through Global Affairs Canada.

The forum will enable Canadian and European higher education institutional representatives to:

  • Enhance their understanding of the opportunities and strategic considerations for Canada-Europe higher education collaboration and trends relevant to the Canadian and European education sectors to support bilateral and multilateral partnerships;
  • Network with Canadian and European institutional and government stakeholders to build new connections focused on advancing partnerships; and
  • Increase awareness of lessons learned, practical tools, ideas, and resources to advance strategic Canadian-European partnerships.
